Buying Life Insurance Online Warnings

I was in the market for life insurance and decided to find a few quotes online. I am basically a lazy person, so the websites that offer multiple insurance quotes to compare sounded like a good deal to me.

I filled out the needed information about my medical history and personal contact data…and my phone started to ring off the wall. What I did not understand was that my contact info and all the personal data I just entered on that form was being resold to multiple life insurance agents who sell insurance in my zip code range.

I can handle one or two phone calls, but so far I have received 6…six phone calls and 4 emails from agents who want to sell the policy to me. I wonder how long this phone harassment will last. I really wanted to pick a policy online and compare the rates and requirements on my own time and at my own pace. These phone sales people want an answer NOW.

I did find a great rate, but I just wanted to warn everyone about how many phone calls and emails they are going to get if they fill out those forms for a quote. Maybe I should have used a free Yahoo email and my cell phone number instead? Oh well.
